BPHS Purvayoni method

Previous-Birth Loka Calculator

Follow the traditional Sun–Moon and Drekkana rule shown in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. Supply the stronger luminary; we calculate its D3 sign, sign lord, and source-labeled loka indication.

Calculate from birth details

Enter your chart details and stronger luminary

Birth details calculate the D1 and D3 positions. The Sun-or-Moon choice must come from a trusted Shadbala report.

Which luminary is stronger in your Shadbala report?

Birth details are sent by a private no-store request, not placed in the page URL, and not added to an account. The downloadable card omits them.

The four-way loka mapping

Map the ruler of the selected luminary's D3 sign—not the selected luminary itself unless it also happens to rule that sign.

What “stronger” means—and what we do not fake

The visible passage says to use whichever of the Sun and Moon is stronger, but it does not define the comparison method in the excerpt. The reel presenter operationalizes ‘stronger’ through Shadbala.

Destiny Unfolds does not calculate Shadbala in this public tool because the app's current routine is explicitly simplified. You supply which luminary trusted software reports as stronger; the calculator then performs the D3 and loka steps transparently.

  • Compare only the Sun and Moon, not all planets.
  • Use complete Shadbala from trusted Jyotish software or an astrologer.
  • If the two values are very close, treat the selection as uncertain.
  • The calculator handles D3 and the sign-lord mapping after you make that selection.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Previous-Birth Loka Calculator work?

Supply which is stronger in Shadbala, the Sun or Moon. The calculator finds that luminary’s sign in the classical D3/Drekkana chart, takes the ruler of that D3 sign, and applies the visible source table.

What does ‘stronger Sun or Moon’ mean here?

The visible BPHS excerpt says to use whichever luminary is stronger but does not define the method there. The reel presenter uses Shadbala. This tool therefore asks you to supply the result from trusted Jyotish software instead of presenting an approximate strength score as classical Shadbala.

Does this result prove a previous birth?

No. It is a traditional Jyotish classification for reflection, not empirical proof of reincarnation, a verified previous-life biography, or a judgment of spiritual worth.
